    Oh dear.

I once had a necklace returned as the chain had twisted in transit and become tangled, it took 5 seconds to shake it out on return to make it perfect again. There are no words for this sort of buyer.

I think many of the issues are caused by people using mobile phones.

If I look at my listings on a mobile phone you see a title and a photo, and not much more without clicking further. If I set my phone browser to 'request desktop site', you get all the listing displayed, exactly as you'd see on a computer and probably as you actually submitted it to Ebay.

I also tend to find that mobile buyers don''t really seem that switched on - often dreadful grammar, no capitals and they seem to use some sort of hybrid pidgin English / txt speak coupled with seemingly an inability to either read or grasp information presented. So you have a perfect storm of generational dis-functionality colliding with Ebay removing what I consider to be essential info from the mobile view they present to buyers. Not a very tasty cocktail when its all added up, and it tests the patience of even the most diligent sellers.

That's really useful to know. As someone who never 'shops' using a smartphone, I didn't realise potential buyers didn't see exactly the same info as I see on my desktop.

I fear you are right, on my phone I see no information at all, just the title and the 'condition' bit that is only used for used items.

And now I have a European buyer who bought Sunday and their item was sent on Monday 11th and they want to know where it is as they had expected it before now.

    Must stay calm

Said buyer has now left a neutral saying it took far too long to arrive. Well, a Merry Christmas to you as well, bah humbug.

Surely eBay will remove the neutral?

There is nothing at all that fits the eBay removal requirement unfortunately.

I've had an Italian buyer open a not recieved case - bought 3rd December, posted in 4th December.

Keeps asking me where it is - no idea why he asks me as the tracking number is clearly entered on Ebay, and it shows his item is in Torino and is waiting for Poste Italiane to do their side of things to get it to him in Rome.

Quite how he expects me to be able to influence his own local postal service is beyond me, as the parcel is moving slowly around Italy and he will receive it.

I'm finding European buyers to be a bit edgy at the moment, I have had a few seem to overlook the 'I am overseas' situation and expect their items in a few days.

The good news is that whilst my request that the neutral be removed was initially declined, they have just agreed to remove it as a good will gesture. There was a comment in the feedback that mentioned refusal to give tracking number - and ebay have said that whilst it doesn't really constitute a valid reason for removal they will on this occasion having fully reviewed the buyer's account. This was a new buyer, no feedback who sent several very strange emails about how she knows I have a tracking number as she knows all about Royal Mail. Hurrah, neutral gone immediately, thank you ebay.
