Hi, I am due to pay off my mortgage in the next couple of months. I have already found out if I pay off in full then I pay an extra 50 pounds which I don't intend to do.

In addition the final amount left in the mortgage has a line underneath it on the website saying "This amount is not a final settlement figure". Can anyone explain this please.

Finally, can I leave just a few pennies/pounds in there and cancel my monthly payments to avoid the 50 pound extra?

Many thanks in advance
