LGPS Care scheme

Having taken flexible retirement, I have to decide if I should re join the care scheme, I will work between another 2 to 8 years, it depends how my health holds up. Is it worth it.

Thanks
Maz

Why say no to FREE MONEY is what it essentially comes down to.

What is your thinking around why would you not do it?

1/49th of annual salary as an annual pension for life.

    Yes, it's worth it.

Must point out that any Rule of 85 protections you may have had in respect of your previous pension won't be carried forward to your new record, so your new pension will be reduced for early payment if taken before NRA (your State pension age).

It's still a good deal, though.
