The cheapest I've seen is £97.50 through Amazon (see link)

Does anyone know where I can get this cheaper or offer a good/better alternative.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I have the 305 which is absolutely brilliant. I got it off Ebay from one of the US sellers and the service was fine. Think it was probably about £140 ish but it is worth it in my opinion. I also downloaded Sporttracks software for free to use as a training log. Its great.
I would keep an eye on the gear forum at Runners World if you haven't already - they know their stuff on there.
Good luck.0 -
Thanks for that stretchquaker - I'll have a look on ebay - my only worry is because it's a christmas pressie I won't have any refund rights etc if it turns out to be faulty especially if I buy it now as christmas is still a little while away. Whats the sporttracks software? Do the watchs not come with their own software to record all the runners data?Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0

Yes - I can see your thinking - I can only speak as I find although I did research a lot on Runners World etc and the concensus on the bigger sellers on Ebay was quite good with refunds etc....mine has worked great and it really is a brilliant tool.
The 305 comes with default software which you load on to your PC to log your activities, it is fine but basic. Sportracks is free and was much superior for turning the data in to graphs / tables/ stats which I used to track weekly/ monthly mileage and just to track progress. This is the best bit of the whole thing for me as its quite satisfying to see the improvements.
Motionbased.com also do a good compatible software package - although it only stores full data for ten activities as a taster as there is a subscription charge after that. Again - I'd recommend the gear forums at Runners world for lots of info around all this.
I hope it has helped anyway - I can't comment on the 205 but if you can get a good deal on a 305 then I'd jump straight in.
Good luck!0
