Time to take that pension

Options
:T I’m lucky, my boss says I can take voluntary redundancy and my pension and choose when to go. My question is there a best time of year to take this?

My pension people have quoted £77k lump sum and reduced pension of £11k

I have redundancy payments on top

So is there a good time to maximise take home money?:j

  • I can't see why one time of year would necessarily be better than any other for taking a pension, the only possibility might be to do with when they give increases or if there is anything specific within the rules of the pension scheme.

You will need to look at your individual circumstances and see what works best for you, we can't give individual advice on here.
I have worked for 5 years as a Pension Administrator and then a further year in a non-administrator pension role. I am not (and never have been) an adviser. Do not take anything I say as advice, it is information given on the best of my knowledge.
