New mortgage moving (Ltd Co.)

Options
Hi,

Please could someone give me some help?

Basically the situation is We have a current mortgage with halifax, nad are looking to move. We are going to get our new mortgage with halifax to get out of the early repayment charge.

The last time we got our mortgage (1 yr ago) I was a contractor on good money. So they had no problems lending the cash and we had 2 mortgages at one stage. They did not ask to see proof of income. However I now run a Ltd co. with 50% share. On around £35k a year with dividends. My wife is employed with £25k a year. Monthly payments of loans/cards are around £900.00

We are looking for a mortgage of around £190k with a 3% deposit.

Questions are this:

1. Will halifax need to see my proof of income as I dont have 3 yrs books yet. Or will they just take it as read as they did last time?

2. Is it better to have my wife as the first applicant or does it not make a difference.

3. Having been with halifax for our past 2 mortgages with no missed payment etc. would they look on us more favourably.

If anyone has any other advice it would be greatly aprectiated. PS we already have a private sale sorted for our current house and are looking to move in 6 weeks. Have an appointment with halifax mortgage advisors tommorrow.

Thanks

Danny
