When to chase solicitors?

We are remortgaging and are using a lender package for solicitors. They sent out a questionnaire and various bits to be signed and witnessed which was completed and returned 2 weeks ago today. I had signed up for their text updates so there was no need to chase them apparently. We haven’t heard a single thing since I sent the paperwork back 2 weeks ago... was wanting to complete on the 1/1/18. Should I chase them? Or is this a reasonable timescale of no contact?

Has the mortgage offer been issued?
Have they obtained office copy entries from the Land Registry and asked your current lender for a provisional redemption statement?

Yes mortgage offer was issued prior to solicitors pack being sent. I’m pretty sure they haven’t been in contact with existing lender as I asked my existing lender to check whilst I was sorting something else.
I’m using a broker so is it best to go them first rather than solicitors?0 -
Less tham two working weeks isn't long. They may well have written to your existing lender by now. However all takes time to be processed.0
