Questions concerning BR

Hi all,
Thanks for the messages and Madeliene thank you so much for putting my mind at rest about husband and wife being dealt with together. I still feel very sick about it all, but at least we'll have each other for support. Thank you all so so much, your help has been much appreciated.0 -
Cars are a strange one, both my wife and me went BR and have two fairly new cars, mine is a 52 Focus worth about 4k and the wife has a Citreon worth (well was until she dented it
) about 3k.
We kept both
We told them the truth, we both require our cars for work, I live 15 miles from work with no public transport, and I have to travel around the country. Plus there was HP on the car and what was left wasn't worth anything to the OR. The Wife hit her car about a month before hand, severely reducing its value, plus she is a community nurse, so she really needs it.
In the end, it depends on your circumstances.0 -
Hi Guys, The car situation is what I was telling everyone a couple of weeks ago.......my wife and I went BR and unfortunately both cars were in my name and apparently only one car per bankrupt can be considered. So the OR will either let you pay him what the car is worth at auction or if you can't raise the money he will take it away and sell it. Make sure that both cars are in different names (on the log book I mean) that you own one and you're missus owns the other, that way as long as you can prove you need it for work etc they can't touch it,
Regards, Taib00
