Works injury

hi, I injured my arm in the canteen at work.
basically I put my hand on a chair to take my weight whilst sitting down and the chair was broken, and I over straightened and twisted my arm. this happened 4 weeks ago, and my arm as been getting worse. and now after visiting my doctor and xrays they say there was ligament damage that occurred at initial injury, and im now in a sling and been given a sick note.. where do I stand with it being a accident at work?? all details were reported and logged in appropriate accident books etc

thank you

  • Hi yes I had a witness and no the chair wasn't reported broken.. in fact the management instantly audited the 2 canteens and found 9 unfit chairs!
