latest list of s. 106 mortgage providers

Hello all,

I have a s. 106 mortgage with the Halifax fixed at 2.64% until the end of 2018. I was wondering if anyone knows what other mortgage providers lend to s. 106 homeowners?

When I bought the house a year ago, the broker I used said only the Halifax was lending back then.

I obviously want to make sure I am checking all options in advance of my fixed term coming to an end in 12 months time.

Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful

It will depend on what the S106 is for.
I have only ever done a couple of these, the ones I have done is where the properties have to be bought and sold for a percentage of the true value.

But there are some with other stipulations.

I doubt there is a definitive list of every lender and the types of 106 they will accept anywhere. You are going to need to call the lenders I suspect or get the broker to do the donkey work for you. It might be easier to find the products/lenders you want and then go through them in order to check they will accept the property/s106 and you.

It is a s106 for local people to buy in the area they have lived in, and I get 30% off the value price, and then sold at 70% of the then value price.

Just wondering if anyone knew or had another s106 mortgage other than the Halifax, rather than me ringing every mortgage asking if they do this specific kind of mortgage, and no comparison sites cater for this kind of mortgage either, so again, hard to compare rates etc compared to a normal mortgage,

I can not provide a list, primarily because I do not have one myself. I get that few enquiries for this sort of thing it would be out of date between putting it together and using it again.

There are other lenders as I have placed them with other lenders. I doubt there was ONLY Halifax 2 years ago, although they may have been the cheapest at the time.

Rather than find the lenders who do the S106 then compare deals, why not compare deals and then call them in order until you get to one who will do the S106?

I doubt you will get what you want without you doing the donkey work because it is quite niche - I have only done 3 in 4 years. The other option is to use a broker and let them do the donkey work. God loves a trier, but I think this is one of those where you will struggle to get the answer on here.
