Letter From CapQuest Debt Recovery

Hi
I just received two letters today, one from HSBC relating to a debt of £6714.25. I have never had an account with HSBC. The other letter is from Capquest Debt Recovery who are now administering the account.
I am very worried , because I also researched Capquest and they appear to be very aggressive. I am a pensioner and was in trouble years ago, but paid up and settled my debts.
I have never been contacted about this debt and took out a trial subscription with "Check My File" According to 4 credit agencies, my credit rating overall is very good.
Appreciate any valued help on this important and worrying correspondence

Hi Fatbelly
Sincere thanks for Your valued reply. Just one more question. Could I just ignore the letter, or would that be not advisable0 -

Not advisable at all, they can obtain a county court judgement against you if you continue to ignore their letters, even though it may not even be your debt.
