I know I am a bit thick, but can someone explain to me what these mean?
I see in many posts DS, DD, DH - I have worked out that DS - stands for son, DD daughter and so on, but what is the D for?

Perhaps someone would be kind enough to post the meanings of the rest of the accronyms used on here? AFAIK, etc..?
Im sure there are a lot of people looking at these expressions and thinking "eh??????????"0 -
As far as I know, AFAIK means just that!:D0

I do totally agree though - perhaps there could be some sort of note on one of the stickies for newbies that lists all the commonly used acronyms? (or is there already?!).
It can be a bit daunting when you first start lurking. I remember being really worried that I'd say the wrong thing in my first post - before you realise how friendly everyone here is, you think they're all part of a gang that you don't belong to, and worry about saying the wrong thing.
Now I don't give a toss!0 -
Hi everyone - this thread lists quite a few...0

A lot of these are general internet slang and not MSE or DFW specific.
If you do a search on google im sure you will find a list if you search for Internet Acronyms.
I know someone did compile a thread once on here with a lot of them listed although I dont know where it is now. If your not sure just ask. most of the members of the site dont bite
