bank of ireland recent tracker increase

I have a long standing tracker mortgage, now with Bank of Ireland, Originally fixed at bank base rate + 1.49%. As the base rate went down, at a certain point the mortgage company unilaterally paused the interest rate at 4.74% while bank rate continued to fall. Now that the bank rate has at last risen, within days Bank of Ireland has increased its interest rate. Is there any way to query this or any body starting an action. Surely if the contract was a fixed tracker rate the company should hold the rate steady until bank rate has returned to the position at which they initially paused the decrease. If not what is the purpose of a contract??

Eh? So you are sat on the Bank of Ireland SVR? If so, their SVR is 4.49%.
Either way you need to sit down with a broker to get you a better rate!I am a Mortgage Broker.
