I was wondering if anyone had tried creating an app or game and selling it on the App Store?

I have a couple of variations of a puzzle game I created on there but I am finding it difficult getting them noticed. They just get lost in the huge pile of apps.

For instance my one game is Christmas themed yet an app about dentistry appears in the search results but my app doesn’t.

Does anyone have any tips on how to market my apps?
