BUJO Bullet Journalling 2018

I really love the idea of journalling. It must be great to just look up on an index and find all the information you need. I've read lots of instructions about how to do it but I'm afraid it is all pretty befuddling to me. Must be the age thing.
Also, I know me. I love organising things. I am pretty sure that, even if I understood it, I would take so long playing with the journal that there would be no time left for actually doing anything.
So for me it will be back to the method that has stood the test of time.
It's called, "muddling through."I believe that friends are quiet angels

Mine is fairly minimal - I don't do the monthly log thing, as I use my phone/computer calendar for recording appointments or reminders.
Every day I have a 'must do' list of time-critical things on the left, and a 'like to do' list on the right; so eg phone calls, appointments or urgent tasks on the left, things like 'make dental appointment' or 'clean fridge' on right. I schedule some cleaning because I'm a lazy housewife but I don't list stuff I'd do anyway like washing or 'run dishwasher'.
I also have a 'master' packing list. I've got lists of things I want to achieve in the garden, sewing projects, jobs that need doing around the house, knitting projects, Menu planning ideas ... anything that I want to record, and I index those pages.
I don't carry mine around, it's too big. I work from home, so it's usually to hand, but if I need something to refer to while I'm out (eg measurements) I just take a photo of that page on my phone.
The biggest thing for me is that when I'm feeling overwhelmed, I write everything down in the journal. It may not all get done in one day, but I know I'm not going to forget it. Uncompleted tasks migrate to the next day, so they don't get forgotten.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0
