Tax will eventually be sorted out; what may be overlooked is that paying two weeks together may result in an over-payment of national insurance if your employer treats it as one week's payment.

You dont even need to phone HMRC.

Go to Gov. Uk, sign up for the Personal Tax account, log in, review your tax estimate for this year, and update your estimated pay/make any other adjustments necessary.

This information will pass to HMRC overnight and a new tax code will be issued to your employer.
