  • Some of these posts are seriously impressive! I know if I got off my backside I could tear towards that total in double-quick time, but I don't necessarily think I could allow myself to count those spend-to-save promos, the tiny bit of money off accompanies a whole load of spending. I suppose motivation is the key though, I need a stronger kick up the backside than a double espresso, There's a leaning tower of ps4 games I'm done with that I'll never use again... same as the ps3 one, the ps2 one.... etc. Maybe keeping an eye on this thread will help motivate me de-clutter.

I only count income that is cash in my pocket, rather than money saved on buying stuff, discounts etc. I only got to about £1300 last year doing that, but it is more straightforward to keep track then :)

Same here. I wait until it's either in my bank, paypal or an amazon voucher before I count it.

Ditto, would be spending all my time working out what I'd saved otherwise! Not sure I will get to £2018 but if I get to around £1200 I will be happy with that.
