Amazon is recruiting for seasonal drivers in the area - boyfriend applied and was asked to attend an induction at the Leeds depot. The agency running the process is Prospect Commercials.
Attended the induction on Saturday. After waiting half an hour, a driver turned up with some forms to fill in with basic details - told everyone that the instructor hadn't turned up so they couldn't do the induction or the drugs/alcohol test. Waste of time but ok these things happen.
Took a phone call on Monday - asking him to attend another induction - fine. Emails details - this one is at a depot 150 miles away - not fine.
Spoke to the same woman this morning - please can she put him on an induction in Leeds - ok she says will come back to you with the next date.
Tonight takes a telephone call from someone else - sorry we can't process your application further because you haven't provided your driving licence and documents. Well no, because there was no one on Saturday to take them.
Very dubious whether a job will actually come from this befor Christmas - how do companies like this manage to keep contracts?!
