I usually go to Macys, yes I go all the way to the USA to go shopping. Shopping in the UK is such a rip off and you can never find Jeans to fit short people 30" leg not really that short but the shortest everywhere stocks is 32" or regular. So I spend a a fortune going over there but the saveings are worth it. levis $30 a pair yes £15 compared to £50 or more. DKNY jeans $40-$55 copaired to £60 over here. Even when you go stupid and buy Diesel jeans they cost $180-$220 compaired to £170 they are still cheaper. We havnt even started on trainers Nike shox $100 to $140 over here your looking at £130 Im talking current designs not factory outlet stuff. Calvin Klein boxers $22 or £18. Ohh and Macys combine discounts, so if its 25% off and you have the international visitors card that gives 11% you get both of them you can also use any gift cards, they gave us a $10 giftcard with every denim item we bought, so a pair of quicksilver shorts started off at $40 less 50% due to the sale then knock off $10 for a gift card then 11% the result was $8 somthing for a pair of shorts.
The same line is followed through the store even the suits etc you can save a fortune top name designer stuff for half the uk price before you start knocking the discounts off.
Sun glasses? $300 for a pair that will set you back £240 in the UK. Even electricals like games consoles, digital camers and mp3 players are miles cheaper over there.
So get a cheap flight to New York a cheap hotel or a package and go spending, you can save a fortune. We usually go Christmas shopping everyone gets decent presents, we save a fortune and get a holiday out of it too.0 -
For shopping online I like:
www.promod.com
www.laredoute.co.uk
www.joebrowns.co.uk
www.mandmdirect.com
(Don't forget quidco and/or look for discount codes first. I never buy anything online without searching for discount!!)
Store wise TK Maxx is good, as is Tesco and Debenhams. I've wandered past Peacocks a few times and noticed some nice stuff in their window although never actually bought any of their clothes as they don't tend to stock my size much. I did buy some shoes from them once and i'm really pleased with them.) Also Dorothy Perkins have some nice stuff. My mind not only wanders .......... sometimes it leaves completely0
