Lakeland Pickle pebble problem

Hi Everyone
I have a set of Lakeland pickle pebbles (for fermenting) and didn't realise they had a right side up. There is no mention of this on the packaging. I now have two of the pebbles stuck tight at an angle in my mason jars as I've realised I've put them in upside down. They are now stuck tight with fermenting apples in. Any advice on how to get them out please? Or will I have to smash the jars. Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest pouring out the liquid, replace lid and stand jar lid down in hot water.
Hopefully the jar will expand enough to free pebble."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."

Physics is on your side. The glass should expand more readily than the pebbles themselves.I'd suggest pouring out the liquid, replace lid and stand jar lid down in hot water.

Thanks for your comments. I managed to free up one but the other one cracked. I told Lakeland about the problem and they sent me some new jars! Apparently the pebbles really do have aright side up and they work really well if used correctly. Lakelands reaction was really helpful they are such a great company.0
