Fraud on virgin media gtempaccount

I have virgin as ISP and main email accounts.
There has been a hack of the account as I couldn't gain access and this email is linked to a credit card that was used fraudulently today.
The card has been stopped.
I keep getting an email from google that "my email address" with a '%' instead of an '@' followed by @gtempaccount.com.
The email supplies a code then says that If you did not request this code, it is possible that someone else is trying to access the Google Account xxx%yyyyyyy@gtempaccount.com. Do not forward or give this code to anyone.
I've already changed the password once today, so can't believe the password has been discovered, so clearly this is another way of trying to hack the email.
Any ideas?
PS I know that the way virgin emails work is through the google mail system so these gtempaccounts are a way of distinguishing the original virgin email from another google one, but don't understand more than that.
