Thanks for your replies!! :j
I think I will just buy a cheapo one from argos cos we are a family of 5 and from what you say, it won't be big enuff!Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
I got the impression that they can be a slow cooker at the minimum setting, but the maximum setting is more like a normal simmer temperature, so it is a bit more versatile than a slow cooker per se.
I actually got one from La Redoute a few months ago, but haven't got around to trying it yet. Waiting for the right recipe i.e. some reduced mince or something, that I can make myself a non-veggie treat. It isn't really big enough to make a main meal for both of us, hubby being vegetarian with a very good appetite!
I'm glad this topic has resurfaced, as it is only taking up cupboard space and I really must give it a whirl. When we had a thread on it before (I have a feeling I started it, oops) I thought it would be ideal for students, so if anyone either is or has one (a student that is) and the offer is back on, I would say definitely go for it.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
