Dear Readers,
I bought a Samsung galaxy s8 on gumtree and the seller said that he would post it too me as he lived in Manchester and I I am Birmingham so I couldn't collect.
I paid him £250 by bank transfer and he messaged me the next day saying he has sent the phone tracked number..
now here we are a month later and I am still waiting for my phone, and he is not replying to my messages.
what can I do please help? will the bank or police help me? I have his bank number and sort code and his name is Donald

Contact the police.Debt 1/1/17 - Credit Cards £17,280.23; overdrafts £3,777.24
Debt 5/1/18 - Credit Cards £3,188; overdrafts £00 -
will they be able arrest him? I feel so violated:(0

I’m sorry but I hope you can afford to lose £250. Not what you wanted to hear, but reality of using bank transfer.
By all means contact the pigs, but your money is long gone.0 -
I don't know if you can reverse that kind of transfer or if you can if there's a time limit.
Did the 'tracking number' ever work ?
As well as speaking to the law on this I'd strongly suggest also speaking to your bank a.s.a.p too and if you can / have one within a sensible distance 'Citizens Advice Bureau' too, if they are unable to help they should hopefully at least provide you with some useful information as to the next steps.
Was going to say ask this topic to be moved to a different area but I can't see one that 'fits the bill' exactly for this.
I hope there is some positive outcome though.0 -
