Can anyone comment on the quality of Donald Russell roasting joints? I'm looking to order a rib-roast for Christmas and with codes and cashback I can get it for a decent price.
I see that it arrives frozen which is a bit surprising, I've ordered meat online before (Market porter, Campbell's) and it's never been frozen.
Anyone with any experience able to advise? thanks in advance

I used to order from him regularly. The package arrives with sachets of small packets of ice stuff which keeps it frozen . Use gloves to remove the package as this stuff burns.
I stay about 1 hour from his factory but the last order arrived a day late unfrozen which I had to cook that day and they sent out a replacement order.
I found their steaks good but expensive and their turkeys etc were French not from the uk which I would have expected from a local company which are very expensive.
I am buying beef etc now from Morrisons and my Christmas turkey is from M&S0 -
i have used them with discount codes before, my orders arrived on time and frozen solid, the steaks were the best i have tasted, the burgers were good, i haven't had a large joint, but am tempted with a discount code i have0
