Cheaper Food Shopping Inspiration!

Options
Help! Both H and I work full time (often 60 hour weeks) and we always do our weekly shop at ASDA. I'm growing increasingly frustrated at the ridiculous prices in there - so called Rollbacks are £1 one week then £2.70 the next week!! Shockingly we spend £90 - £100 per week for just the 2 of us! We try to eat healthily and I don't eat red meat which means we mostly buy chicken, turkey mince, chicken/turkey sausages.
I am desperate to try to get our food shopping bill down a bit but we just don't have the time to traipse around the different shops looking for the best bargains.
Does anyone have some tips on some effective ways to save some money on our shopping? ie. should I buy our meat on a monthly basis from Lidl?

1kg skin on chicken thighs Sainsburys £3.49 Aldi £1.79

You should be able to save massively by using the so-called discounters. I shop at Aldi for two people and probably spend about half what you do. We do eat red meat but also chicken and fish.

I'd question what it is you're actually buying (aside from the meat you mention). If you're buying pre-prepared food to compensate for your long working hours then that may explain the higher costs. You'd still save at Lidl or Aldi but not as much as cooking from scratch.
