What amazing news and so deserved. You have fought very hard to provide the best outcome for your little family, under incredibly tough conditions and at times it has been almost impossible but you have always, always put your children first.
Now you can begin to look ahead and into the future with positivity. Wouldn't worry about paying the courts a minimal amount, it will just tick along and they won't be pressuring you to up your payment.
Have a lovely birthday, take a few deep breaths and perhaps treat yourself to a celebratory doughnut to go with your coffee!
You so deserve this.0 -
Woop woop woop yay, how fantastic!

Hey WannabeFree,
I found this link for you that explains all you need to know about Credit Unions and how they work...

I love my local CU
They are a real asset to the community here, folks have been able to afford to pay for weddings, holidays, cars etc through saving with them and responsible lending. My EF is with the CU
If you need to know anything else about how good a CU is just ask me

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Definitely a new chapter Beanie. For the first time ever I feel in control. I can see happiness in us all building from now. I know it will take a couple of weeks to be sorted fully. But today is the start of a new beginning. A total fresh start.
I'm so happy I can't even begin to tell you how much.WannabeFree wrote: »
I am going down to the offices tomorrow to sign some things and I will find out how long it takes. It won't take long. It also means I should have a secure tenancy too! It was supposed to switch to a secure tenancy after 12 months but we had arrears by the point and have never been out of the arrears since 2012

Today has been hectic! I got everything done I needed and wanted to though. Wasn't a NSD. I nipped to the libary to have some things faxed and called in the Salvation army with some old school uniform smallest has outgrown. While in there they had the most perfect present for DD1 for her birthday for £3. I couldn't resist
I borrowed it out the £11.50 set aside for 'me' but I will be using it Friday anyway fingers crossed. Anyway back to the present, I'm over the moon with it. I will get a box from the corner shop and decorate it to put the gift in.
Smalls banished me from the living room after school and I've not to go in there until they allow me too in the morning :rotfl:
They decorated the cake .. I'm not quite sure it's a unicorn as some of the conversation I over heard was hilarious! I don't think I've ever laughed so much at them disagreeing about something.
They are all in bed and sleeping finally - I think they are more excited than me for the morning
I still look like this :j or this maybe :rotfl:
Hope you've all had a good day
