I refuse to buy wrapping paper for the same reason, and love reading through the past and how circumstances have changed.
I used to help my gran count the 'leftover tin' each week (from tins just as have been described), and we used to pay it into her post office account each week when we went to collect the pensions.
Our stash of gift bags have all come at someone elses expense and we haven't purchased 'wrap' of any sort since hubby and I met in the nineties.0 -
