    You are a very geneous lady sammy! I remember your posts from last christmas.
    When we found money was very tight years ago,we told all the adults in the family that we would only buy for the kids (who would notice if they didnt get a pressy and maybe not understand why not) ,everyone was very understanding and they did get one or two homemade pressies after all:).
    Your homemade ideas sound just right though.
    One thing we did a few years ago was make a popcorn kit. We printed out the 'popcorn in the microwave' recipe from a site(google will find loads) and put unpopped popcorn and a biggish paper bag saved from shopping ,together with it. It's amazing how much popcorn you can get from one bag of unpopped kernels.
    Re the candles...lots of charity shops have candles which can be melted down.
    We had a huge bag of candle bits a few years back.Doesnt matter if the candles are broken.
