Direct Debit Question

I am not sure if I am posting on the right thread. Apologies if not.

I have a maintenance agreement for my house alarm system which I pay annually. They have just informed my that I have to pay by direct debit.

My question is.........can they do that?

Thank you.

    Yes. *

As part of the agreement you signed to get the system they will specify the method of payment for the contract for the upkeep of the system.

Always check the T&Cs before you sign anything!

*So long as it was in the T&Cs you signed. If there were other methods to pay listed, and now they're changing the game, that's a breach of contract and you'll have the right to tell them to remove the system and you can look elsewhere, if you wish.
