Which job would you apply for??

Both jobs are part time with the same organisation.

Job A is more senior ( so pay is more) to Job B, is 3 days a week as opposed to 4.

However you feel that you may get an interview for Job A but it's more probable that you'd get an interview for Job B.

Why not both? There's a good chance that the recruiting manager is different

I had thought of that but wondered if it would look odd especially as the senior role would effectively be managing the junior role.

Personally I would say if you need a job (and most people do), apply for both and if an offer is forthcoming and you're lucky enough to get two offers, take your pick, otherwise take the first offer you get from these or any other.

I applied for a role and the assistant role a level down in the same recruitment round. Got the more senior, but would have accepted the junior. Just have an answer ready in case you are asked why you have applied for both.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,

  • Thanks guys.

I'm in a strange situation in the sense I'm currently working with hubby but it's obvious that he needs someone who has more technical knowledge than me but cash flow is the main problem.

Therefore my solution would be to get a part time job thus freeing up the salary I take from the business whilst still being able to help out with admin etc.
