Just been into our local Aldi & picked up their Christmas offering catalogue & disaster has struck !!
NO Five Bird Roast this year.
Anybody know why not ??
They have been an absolutely brilliant product at an excellent price for years.

I bought 2 last week in my very rare trips to Lidl, (not been in about 10 years) I think they were £8.99 from memory. My grandad has also got one yesterday from Lidl.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. It does look like Lidl is your best bet.
I've just looked in the Aldi Christmas book and I'm very interested in the sirloin of beef with porcini, shallot and truffle flavour melt.0 -
Bought the Lidl ones a year or two ago & they were no where near as good as Aldi.0

I have tried these in the past though - to be fair - I can't remember whether it was an Aldi or a Lidl version.
In they opinion of all participants in our family they really are foul.
(I suppose it might have helped if any of us like turkey.)

I never fancied the idea of the inside of one animal being against the outside of another animal ... repeat Xtimes.
I figure if you like a meat you should eat a meat and enjoy it in its own right, not end up with something where nobody could like all of them - thus meaning a "tainted" experience for everybody as there's one bit they wouldn't want/don't like.
The whole thing was just a "marketing idea" that leapt on a trend/fad and now they've got other new fads to chase.0 -
Just make your own. Probably nicer
