What do you spend on food, toiletries and cleaning every month (or week, if that's easier for you to answer)?
I was going through the StepPlan Management Plan online forms & put £250 in the 'food, toiletries and cleaning' box but that was over the max suggested of £222 pcm.

ONS figures state the average food shop in the UK for a family of four is £56 a week and that's not really budgeting as much as you could. Even if there's four of you then £222 is do-able.Oh, apologies, it's 1 person.
I've never really looked at how much I spend so guestimated £250 (£3 lunch deal Mon-Fri then another £5 for breakfast, dinner, cleaning products, toiletries... rounded up)
That's part of the reason you're now in a DMP. £3 a day for dinner is £750 a year. My packed lunch consisting of sandwich, banana, grapes and crisps costs me 68p.
A single person can feed themselves well for £80 a month. Cleaning products and toiletries another £20 tops. £222 is way too generous for one person. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
£92.50 per week - 2 adults including lunches, toiletries household products and a couple of trips to the butchers.
I switched to tesco from aldi earlier this year as I felt the prices were creeping up at aldi but i'm thinking about switching back to aldi and seeing what savings I make.
How can anybody put such a precise figure?0
