Learn Direct courses?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone ever took Learn Direct courses and can share their experience please?

I'm on JSA at the moment and thinking to take the Business Admin course. Is it worth it?

Many thanks.

If it’s not interfering with your work search or your availability why not? I think that you are taking the initiative and studying off your own back can only be viewed positively. I would add i’m no expert and that’s just my opinion...
  • Just remembering my unfinished business admin apprentice nvq in the year of 99...

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with any online course unless it was defo free, recently picked up a discounted excel course for like £12 but it wasn't much cop and I'd have hating spending the £69 odd that it was orginally. Not that amazed and can't see how totally free bares any different.

Even the college ICT functional skills tutor lead course I paid for and should have started Sept allowed me a February transfer to fit in with changes - and I do distinctly remember something there about if you were on benefits it became free. (It came with an assessment before the enrol as well) and I'm sure they do lots of other things too as there seemed to be a few people who were doing all sorts of other courses to fill up their day, which has to be better then stuck battling on your own.

Getting into a big company helped as well with the offer of a training session, though they couldn't be sure to generate enough inhouse interest until a few weeks before end of contract.
  • I did a NVQ 2 via learn direct for free and it was easy! It does not take a lot of work and you come out with a NVQ you didn't have before and it shows you are willing to make the effort to improve your employability going forward

Seems a no brainier to me good luck!

Doubt it was ever £69, they always show over inflated RRPs.
