Thanks for the link. Their bonus is performance based but I think as a team so I assume that is how they avoid paying us that too.
Isn't it great working for a s*** money grabbing company!0 -
My local council operated that policy and still do operate that policy, if you wish you are more than welcome to contact them?
My current employer operates this policy where by if you work on a fixed term contract with them for more than 2 years through an agency, you are giving an interview at the very least for that position?
Just because YOU haven't heard or seen of it, doesn't mean it's not happening.
You've gone from 'MOST' [sic] to "My current employer".
Just pointing that out.0 -
I didn't say it never happens. On the other hand you said, based on only a few companies you have worked for, that most companies did this. Most companies do not. I deal with hundreds of employers every year. I have never found any company that operates such a policy. And that includes some 40 councils. My local council operated that policy and still do operate that policy, if you wish you are more than welcome to contact them?

Also, getting an interview is not the same thing as automatically being an employee of the client after three years. So your current employer doesn't operate the "rule" you say it does.
It is unfair to tell someone something for which there is no legal precedent, and which most companies actually don't do. The answer to the OPs question is that they have no call upon the client for a job. If the client decides to appoint permanently they might offer that job to the OP. Often they won't - because that involves a fee to the agency which another candidate does not.0 -
If the bonus is discretionary, and many are, then it isn't covered by the AWR. They only cover contractual conditions - not discretionary ones.engineer_amy wrote: »If the bonus is directly linked to individual performance, then AWR rules state that you should be receiving it. Occupational sick pay (over and above SSP) does not fall with in AWR so you would not be entitled to that.
Here is the doc that I refer to https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/32121/11-949-agency-workers-regulations-guidance.pdf
The main bit you want is pages 29-35 for pay, bonuses, holidays, breaks etc.0 -
And how long have you accepted it?Greatorex1987 wrote: »Thanks for the link. Their bonus is performance based but I think as a team so I assume that is how they avoid paying us that too.

Well things change over the years. Staff that were fun to work with, my attitude, management.
It is literally hell nowadays, we are all trying to do 2 peoples job effectively and we were told that there will be no further recruiting and Christmas is our busiest time! Don't think I've ever been so knackered in my life.
I'm jobhunting though, I'm not just moaning, but bills & debt getting paid take priority over me loving my job unfortunately0
