Changing broker after AIP?

We used an online broker service to get an AIP in August. It was a bit impersonal but gave us enough confidence to put our house on the market. AIP was from Halifax.
We still haven't had an offer on our house but have some interest and we are going to drop the price again so hopefully will get there soon.
Our circumstances have changed a bit anyway, DP has changed jobs (though to a very similar role with almost exact same salary). Mine hasn't but I'm still on a fixed term contract - tbh I think we will end up with Halifax as the best lender for our circumstances anyway.
Is there any reason why we can't find a new broker? I have a few questions that the online broker didn't really answer (we have a bit of self employed income that I don't think was included in our income multiples but i don't know why). If Halifax are still the best choice can you have 2 AIPs with them? will it look bad on our credit rating to have another search?

If you are not confident in the Broker you are free to use another but don’t base that decision on self employed income not included on your income multiple. Brokers often ignore income that is not needed for the application to smooth underwriting.
A Broker cannot take over an AIP requested by another Broker so you will have to start again.I am a Mortgage Broker

Ok thanks. I'm not sure if the self-employed income was included or not, though I asked a couple of times. Just would be nice to have a decent broker to deal with our application as the online one was a bit sporadic and kept loosing attachments we'd already sent. yeah we said we were ok with the amount, but now wondering if we can get it a little bit higher. Since DP has changed jobs I think we pretty much have to start again anyway? and the AIP is only valid for a couple more weeks so would we also have to start again for that reason?0
