Hey - Sorry Im confused, please can you draw me a diagram (LOL).

So how much do I need to spend and can I used both codes on one order?

Yes you can use both codes. What you need to do is:

Add books to the value of 32.74 or above to your basket.
Add either the adult or child version of Harry Potter 6 to your basket
Checkout and add both the codes at checkout.

This worked for me. The Harry Potter one won't work unless you have the Harry Potter book in your basket.

It seems to me that you can get the £9.99 discount without putting in the Harry Potter book. I tried it just now :

bumping this one up as its 10% off all books at TESCO at the moment plus free delivery for spending over £20 (code is FREEDELIVERY) plus if you spend over £30 you can get the next harry potter book for FREE.

It does work I just tried it and i had to put the harry potter book in the basket for it to apply the discount.

i also got the code with my clubcard statement and its valid to 10/7/05
