Shared ownership mortgage with Leeds building society

Just wondered if anybody has had any recent experiences with Leeds.
Me and my partner have had nothing but hassle with our broker the last month as he was putting us through mortgage application with mansfield building society. We called him every day to make sure everything was going ok and he told us not to worry and that we would be fine. He told us every thing was ready for him to send off for application (2 and a half weeks later)
Last minute he said he won't be putting in application due to my partner going over his overdraft which I sent the money to him to repay it. He said this would be an automatic decline with mansfield then said he won't help us any more.
We was then going to go with a broker from L&C but they were taking ages to get back to us and it was impossible to get in contact with them.
We've reserved a property 40% at £60800 and we can put down a 5% deposit. Our joint income is £25750 (over time available £1500 per year) and my partner has a £5800 loan and £200 credit card balance. We're now really worried as we could lose the property. We got AIP with Leeds and sent full application off yesterday but after what our broker told us we aren't feeling very hopeful. We have been told that Leeds do a full credit check if your AIP is referred which ours was. But we don't know how true this is. Does this mean if we have an AIP with Leeds there's a good chance of offer?

We literally got our offer from leeds yesterday

We to were referred at AIP also which means your application goes straight to an underwriter....if you get through this ok its a good sign although obviously no guaratees. At full application they underwrite before valuation....once valuation ok its just final checks that they have everything they need. Our hard credit check wasnt done till full application not at AIP.

Our offer was issued same day as valuation came back....just over 2 weeks start to finish

I was told by broker if you are checked at the referral then you can jump a through hurdles quicker

    good luck
  • Thanks, that gives a little bit of hope ... we only submitted our full application and documents yesterday so we're just waiting. congratulations on your offer!
