Tiffany Diamond Ring

Hi guys,
Looking for some advice.
I am in need of buying a diamond ring and have settled on one from Tiffany after much deliberation.
My query is that if I buy retail, there seems little option of any form of discount etc. However I noticed that Tiffany have 2x shops in Heathrow Airport and so wondered if there was a potential VAT saving...
I called the store and they confirmed that the ring is in stock. So 1st hurdle beaten! 2nd hurdle, how do I get to the store and avoid paying the VAT.
I have no knowledge of Heathrow or the law in this regard.
Questions:
The stores are located in Terminal 3 & Terminal 5. Can I just book a domestic flight, turn up and saunter in, purchase and drive home without boarding the plane?
Or do I have to fly outside of the UK, or even the EU in order to do this.
I need to purchase the ring in the next week or two so any quick advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
xsy

If you book a domestic flight you will have to pay the VAT. Its only if you are going outside the EU.
Anyone travelling outside the 28 countries of the European Union (EU). Travellers within the EU or the UK have to pay existing rates of duty and VAT.

Ok that seems to be a dead end then. Is there any other way I could save some cash on this diamond ring??0

Why tiffany? Paying over the odds for a name, who cares what 'brand' a ring is. Surely you could get a better quality stone elsewhere for much less0

You wear a ring, not its brand - so don't waste your money buying from Tiffany just because you think the name has cachet. All it does is bump up the price.0

I agree with other posters on here that you will be paying for a brand name. Save yourself the hassle of flights etc and have a look in goldsmiths and ernest jones etc. They usually have good reductions in the run up to the festive season. You will save yourself the stress and at least a thousand pounds. Goldsmiths have a lot of the tiffany style solitaires.0

Or save even more and/or get a better quality diamond by using one of the online specialists.
I wouldn't touch the high street stores, overpriced for rubbish quality un-certified diamonds
I used and was very happy with diamondgeezer.com, there's also bluenile.com and others0 -

So you took yours to bob's burgers, paid twice as much but got the same awful cardboard food?
It's not just about the money, no, but when you can get the exact same quality diamond elsewhere for less, why pay over the odds for a name on a ring. Or alternatively, pay the same as a tiffany, but get a bigger rock.0 -

A person that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.... well done!
For the record it was La Tour D’Argent in Paris.0
