  • You can earn £50 or so a week doing mystery shopping, typical payments are £10-£20 per assignment so doing 3-5 a week would hit the £50+ target.

Depending on what skills you have you might earn something along those lines if you do micro tasks on sites like Fiverr, Fiveqsuid etc.

I'm with your first comment NotFairParking8! It's very hard to make decent money from mystery shopping anymore. Most of the decent companies don't use it anymore, preferring free shopper receipt type surveys instead. I think that video- mystery shopping is better paid, but you've got to spend hundreds on the equipment.

I used to do it regularly, but the good jobs have dried up almost entirely. If you don't live in a town centre, then you've got to factor in parking & mileage. (I can only think of one company that will reimburse this nowadays). Many of the companies left pushing this sort of work generally want to pay in goods in kind and at a minuscule rate. i.e. there's a pizza job that does the rounds and you'd be better using a voucher that you can find online to get the meal for the same price, without all the effort.

Plus, you've got to be the first past the post - to pick up the good jobs before anyone else. If you live in an urban or suburban area, they will literally go in seconds. Then, frequently when you've done a job once - you can't do it again for months. You also need to look really, really carefully at what's involved for the money. Most of the jobs these days want a visit and an epic report for £5. That is doing the visit and your time spent writing it up, it's never worth it! Less than minimum wage. Even combining jobs from multiple sites in the same area doesn't make it worthwhile anymore.

Most of the time, it's just not worth it anymore. Sadly because it used to be a really good earner.

I'd recommend Swagbucks for an easy £25-£50 per month, which can be done for very little effort, from your sofa. If you check out my blog (in my signature), I've listed the best survey sites - the ones which are actually worth your time and other decent paying opportunities. It's worth remembering that things fluctuate all the time - matched betting could make you several thousand in a few months, but it won't last. Prolific used to be a great earner, but then they changed the format to prevent people earning so much. Same thing happened to a site called Slice The Pie. Even Swagbucks has dropped off for me in the last month because they haven't been offering a certain promotion that they used to. As I say, things change constantly - take the money when you can and be thankful.

  • If such work was easily available then everyone would do it.

Go and get a job in a bar....

You can try gpt sites for some easy money. There's a lot of different offer on gpt sites like survey, download apps, email submit, register on other sites, watching video, playing games, etc. And usually they had offer contest that can give you decent additional income if you won.

Depend on your location, if you're from 1st tier country, you could easily earn at least $5 in short time / day. So $50 / week is not that hard to achieve.
