£100 paid off the credit card this morning. :) I'm also waiting on a refund of £70ish which will be paid off the card once it arrives. I need to return a couple of gift items I've bought from Amazon once they arrive as I've since realised they're not really as suitable as first thought, so that will be £82 back on the card too.

Dinner last night was a concotion of bottom of the fridge veg mixed with a bit of rice and some YS thai fishcakes OH picked up. I took some mince out of the freezer this morning to make a lasgane for DS and I can portion the rest up for the freezer too.

No more payments towards the mortgage or savings yet unfortunately, need to concentrate on paying the recent spends off the card and making it through to payday on Friday with a bit left in the bank!

Seriously annoyed last night - the refund due for close to £80 has only credited £22, stating that I returned 2 items, when I actually returned 7 items, all in the same box. I phoned customer services last night, after waiting 20 minutes on hold before actually speaking to someone, for them to be completely useless. I have sent an email to the head office and will await their reply - apparently within 48 hours.

Other money news - I have none. :o:rotfl:
Well, there's not much left in the bank, but we don't need anything until payday so we'll be fine.

Lunch was a lovely big bowl of homemade soup, frozen a week or so ago. I have a few more of those portions to keep me going too.
Last night I made a lasgane for DS and managed to freeze four portions of that, so that'll help for quick homemade meals on school nights.
I'm trying to lose weight as I'm the heaviest I've been for a long time and it's really getting me down, :( so I'm actively trying to reduce my portions and eat healthier. We're out of fruit and veg and I need to pick some more up, but this can wait until the weekend. For tonight I shall use some frozen runner beans from the freezer, tomorrow and Friday I'll be eating with OH.

Thank you kindly VDOT47, you're right about life, it certainly can test us at time can't it. Still, have to be thankful for our lot I guess.

The refund saga has just got to the point of ridiculous now. The same company has now promised they've refunded varying amounts of money, then they've sent me dispatch notifications for the items again saying they've sent them back to me, then they've refunded me for 6 out of 7 of the itmes - it's a complete farce. I'm waiting to see if the final item is refunded within a few days, if not, I'll be chasing them again. For now, I've paid the £67.14 I have been refunded straight off the credit card.

I worked late last night (once DS was in bed at 7pm), getting the last of my orders out. That's it now for the business, apart from the odd one or two little orders possibly. It's been years of hard work but it has been worth it in more ways than one. :( Hopefully new things are on the horizon - one door closes another opens and all that...
I will miss the extra money and obviously won't be able to save as much now, so sticking to the budget will be priority.

I've finally been issued the full refund due to me from the refund saga, but time will tell as to whether it shows up in the bank account. I've also chased Amazon about a refund today and they said they've credited it to my account today so hopefully that will show up soon too. As soon as it hits the account it'll be paid off the credit card.

It's payday today and I've transferred £300 to the savings and paid another £56 off the card. :) I've now got the savings up to my initial target of £2000, but am aware this will take a severe hit soon with the building work due to commence shortly, so I will up my target to £300 for now.

YNAB has been updated and everything is in order. Once some extra bits of money come in through the month I should be able to pay the card off, put a little more into savings and throw a few more overpayments at the mortgage. :)

    Thank you Sleepygirl x

A few spends over the weekend on bits and pieces from Home bargains and B&M. I need to pick up some groceries today. Not enough for an online shop, so I will pop to a supermarket after work.

I've paid £150 off the credit card today and £65 has gone to the savings. No more to pay off the mortgage yet, but I'm hoping to do so within the next week or so.
The business is now done with, there'll be no more income from that so surplus money will be much lower from now on.

Didn't have a great day yesterday, don't know why, but I just had this awful feeling like something bad was going to happen all day and I was in a horrible mood. It's not normally like me at all, I couldn't shake it off. OH and I went out for a nice country walk in the afternoon, ended up ankle deep in squelchy mud at points, but it was good to get out and clear the cobwebs! I have lots of very muddy washing to do today though... :o
