Hi,
Looking to switch to one of the above - never had a bill in my name before so was wondering is there much of a difference between these two?
It looks like Electric Ireland are slightly cheaper. I think the previous tenant was with Power NI - is that any reason to remain with them?
Thanks.

All the electric rates seem to be going up .If you have economy 7 them Power NI is cheaper.
Otherwise have a look at the consumer council website."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Electric Ireland give you £75 for signing up, always worth taking that into calculations0

Yes they do0 -
And EI will also put your DD up every year by what they deem a "reasonable adjustment" ...
We went from £48/m & in credit at the end of the year to being billed £72/m the following year for our "estimated" increased usage
Bye bye EI ... & back to SSE (as advised by the EI agent lol)0 -
I don't do DD did have to give details in case bill too high though. I do Easy Saver, so just pay in every week and when bill comes in I am clear. Last bill £56 credit. Now of course they would prefer if I did just pay by DD. But my reasoning is if I am too much in credit I simply don't pay for a few weeks and get it down. Better in my purse than their bank account.:p0

I'm with Electric Ireland and my direct debit is taken once a quarter for the amount which is on the bill...
So no chance of ending up in credit, which was precisely one of the reasons I moved from Power NI.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
I have just switched to click energy 2 weeks ago and recieved a £15 incentive top-up. Does anyone know if there's a time limit before I can switch again? I don't mind losing the £15I got ham but i'm not a hamster.....0
