Student Loans Company- Can they claim repayments from my husband?
Hi all, hoping you can offer some advice.
I left full-time employment in August, I am expecting a baby shortly and will be staying at home.
My husband pays all bills via his bank accounts. He has also been putting £1.5k roughly in my account each month (September, October, November) to cover day to day living expenses and so that I can buy baby equipment. He is going to stop putting money in my account in the next few weeks when my Maternity Allowance comes through.
Student Loans Company have written to me with a Customer Details Form I need to complete and send back to them. If you are unemployed it asks for evidence if I am in receipt of benefits (none), living off savings (no savings) or supported by a third party (yes, but bank account payments will stop soon).
My question is, by putting my husband down as third party support, I then have to send off 3 months of bank statements and he has to sign a declaration to confirm..... will he be liable to make loan repayments on my behalf? The student finance is in my name.
I have 2 separate loands- one taken out in 2005 and the second for a postgraduate course in 2013.
Thank you in advance for your help

No he won't be liable. All they're wanting to confirm is how you're supporting yourself when you're telling them you are not in employment or training. The statements are to verify that you're not having a wage paid into your account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
