Hello you.
I hope this finds you well... this is just a quick heads up to remind you that the new series of Modern Life Is Goodish continues tonight, Tuesday, at 10pm.
And I've decided to run a mailing list competition. If you watched episode 1 of the series, you'll know just how awful this collection of DVDs is. I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone part with their cash to own any of them... and yet, there is fun to be had by viewing them. Sort of. I mean, they're bad.
If you'd like to win them, you need to answer this question about episode two.
Q: What did Mrs Gorman find on my laptop that got me into trouble?
Answer: ???? (The episode's not on until tonight.)
Don't reply to this email with the answer - I'm afraid I can't see replies to these emails - but send it instead to MLIGoodish@gmail.com. I'll go through the inbox at some point on Thursday or Friday and use a random number generator to pick a winner. (Incidentally, there are normally a few people sending guesses before the show has even been broadcast... I promise you, there's no advantage in doing so. Being first doesn't make your email any more or less likely to get picked... but guessing does make you much more likely to be wrong!)
There are rules. (There have to be) You have to use an email address that's signed up to this list. You can only enter once. Um, that's it. Oh, it's also really helpful if you include your postal address just in case you're the winner.
Of course, I know many of you will be thinking that it's an awful prize that you don't want to win. You're sort of right. And not-winning is easy to do. Not only will most people who enter not win, I can personally guarantee that everyone who doesn't enter will definitely not win. Phew.
I hope you can catch tonight's show.
Pip pip,
Dave
