When I returned an item a while back in S without a receipt cs can trace your transaction back via your payment and nectar card. It needs to be in the store you purchased the item in though.
This wasn't a double up item though but could be helpful if you had part paid real money on your card?

Afternoon peeps.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Then I remembered that the COS free Mountain Dew no sugar didnt have to come from Mr T it could also come from Co-op and we have a little shiny new Co-op on a slightly diversionary route on the way home.
So I found the Mountain Dew in the fridge, not in the squash section as you would expect and took them through the till - using my student card and blue co-op card so each bottle only cost 90p but COS kindly have awarded me 99p :T
so 27p profit
(these bottles will go into the next foodbank bag)
The till also gave me a Co-op MOC - only my second - 50p off biscuits so I then went in search of biscuits close to 50p and found a 300g custard cream pack for 55p - there were a few Co-op biscuits at this price. At the till using my student card it took another 5p off bringing them down to 50p and the MOC scanned :T
OH very happy with his free custard creams“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Afternoon peeps.
Some Sainsburys stores have been reprogrammed so their receipts now have a barcode on them so your transaction can be traced back - they can tell how you have paid eg - part cash, part nectar points etc
My big stores hadnt but my smaller store has.
So if you are buying something you might need to return or exchange then it might be worth buying a small thing first to see if your store has been converted or not.
NO idea how this will work in practice though.
What happens if you buy £20 of badly fitting clothing and use your Tu till spit which gives you 8p off fuel. You use the fuel voucher straight away but then return or exchange your Tu clothing weeks later.
What happens if you buy say coleslaw for an extra 120 nectar points but the coleslaw tastes vile so you return it for a refund. In the meantime the bonus 120 points took you up to a 250 total which you used against your next shop - could your nectar card total go into negative situation?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Purely on quantity of product (I know cans are different from bottles), and this would have been slightly cheaper on the APG (than the cans were on the APG before) had I thought these bottles would now work there but is slightly more expensive (by under two pence per litre) bought at M's offer pricing, I now have Pepsi 1.5L and Pepsi Max 1.5L (also Pepsi Diet 1.5L that A doesn't appear to have) at 3 for £2 in M. However, I think this may have missed the price collection day for the APG as I had no M with that offer on Wednesday but have only got it from an M between then and now. It may or may not last through until Monday - if it's a weekend offer in M, it seems to stand no chance (it would require a number of M stores to keep showing the offer even though it is not on on the next occasion) - if it does last through till Monday (probably will?) it may be picked up by the APG after that day - in other words probably from late Wednesday next week onwards. At the moment, they are just a "buy in M" - they aren't getting to the list in any event but I thought I would mention them. Hopefully my one store in ten that showed me the 3 for £2 was correct in showing me that they are that and that they aren't straight £1:rotfl:. It's always possible I could pick up an incorrect price but I do seem to be ending up with the correct prices on items I can see online and fingers crossed...
Same store with the 3 for £2 Pepsi 1.5L showed me £2.50 on the 8x330 cans, but I knew that would be wrong as it had changed from £2.50 to £2.00 in other stores not long before. You never know, the 3 for £2 might work on the APG if it was on in M on Wednesday (or if it wasn't but several price collection stores put the offer labelling up prematurely:rotfl:) and if it simply wasn't showing in any of the Ms I saw on that day but, of course (only because I didn't see it on that day), I think not.
TBG? I mean why would you? Would only end up, at best, at the same price as M (with CC points on M's price). Possibly, might work if it was generally showing 3 for £2 on Thursday in M (may be a price collection day for TBG) - I don't know as I just have this one store after Wednesday. A very, very useful store I might add. I went there, expecting about half a side of A4 of information. Half a side was my own description of the driving route to the store (although it turned out I managed to take the correct route all the way and didn't need it) so I had three quarters of the page left. I'm glad I happened to take an extra page into the store:rotfl:. I came out with one side more (into the second sheet)!
I went there hoping to find some Kosher items that I did not have in any store on Wednesday (this was known would happen because of the places I was visiting). The store had some of the Kosher range last time, as well as several other items that added to what I knew before. Unfortunately it didn't have the Osem and most of the Rakusen products this time, so I will have to rely on online for those - I could have revisited my Kosher items store but I would most probably have only had those items and not much further. This other store I went to instead - no specialist Kosher but lots of other ranges of items instead!:rotfl::T I had also managed another place, on Wednesday, where it seems a full range of obscure, weird and wonderful items that I have never seen before() has arrived! Whole, vast ranges of items that I am previously unaware of:o:o:rotfl: - got them now though:). I have one or two of some of them at my usual store but a large range of additional versions exist at this other place, and then one or two of the range for which the 'new' store (actually revisited, went some time ago when it didn't have any of this stuff) has a whole selection. Even with that though, the store on the other day since has revealed, the Wednesday collection (from the stores I had - I could not have done more) was very incomplete. My Wednesday has got a fair few items and got a lot of items generally available - it's just that a range or two is missing (not the usual items I find, but now saves me from going to another store where I know they have part of (hopefully the most part of) the range that was in the store where I didn't get the Kosher but got way more else than I expected and which has items in the range additional to the ones I got at the other place that I am now saved from revisiting:T. (Would have been pretty difficult to fit that in as it isn't very near to me.))
I am now more complete than I was before.0 -
Has anyone tried the free Happy Downs we have been getting from COS - if so what do you think?
Tried one before we went away -very drinkable. But now I am wondering if adding gin would make them even better
Just realised I've not looked at Q clicksnap yet“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
