I need to return an ill fitting computer game to S, but like a numpty have mislaid the receipt :o.

Will they accept returns without a receipt? They know it is not stolen as games are kept locked away with dummy boxes on display, but I know the policy is proof of purchase, and I assume the physical item is not sufficient proof :D.

    Many thanks

If I want to take a m&s item back after buying with the £10 off offer, do I just take it back without receipt and it should be put on a credit note?

You possibly knew this already. Curly Wurly are £1.20 for 4 in T, £1 for 4 in S or M if buying with Chomp trigger.

    HTH

    Anon

They are still those prices at the competitors even if buying them without Chomp trigger:rotfl:. (I will accept that use of the phrase "Chomp trigger", even though I have two Chomps - as I have Chomp trigger and Chomp non-trigger:rotfl:. Both of which I consider work and Chomp non-trigger even better when it's an instore overcharge and GC.)

The Curly Wurly, 25p price in S, is 4 for £1 at M. The offer in M is a mix and match with Freddo 18g, Freddo Caramel 19.5g, Dairy Milk Little Bar 18g, Fudge the SELs say 25g although it is probably really 25.5g, and Cadbury Buttons 14.4g.

Therefore it's possible that a mix and match of four from those items appearing whether with or without the Curly Wurly could also pick up M at 4 for £1 although the chocolates other than Curly Wurly are probably not so good due to A's lower individual prices. They would, if the correct versions are bought in A, give more items that count towards the minimum number of 8 different.

M is on 4 for £1 mix and match and, unlike the Candyland sweets on which at least one mix and match fails for technical reasons (and I can see what those might be, but extremely complicated to explain it all), the chocolates mix and match is I think quite likely to work. That is unless, because there are two separate BCs of some of the products, only one of them is being given an M price whilst the other is not (and if the one that has no M price in the system is the version that appears rather than the one that perhaps is invisible)? If one of the products you try to mix and match has N/A, then the entire mix will fail.

However, unless anyone knows that some of these are returning N/A vs M, it seems to me the different BCs shouldn't matter as the collectors have, on completely separate grocery items, appeared to link two different products at A up to the same product at M before. There may be two products in A but both of them comparable to the same M item - I think it was versions of ready meals, one takeaway counter and one fresh, and you could say that either of them - or indeed both of them - is comparable to the one product in M.

The mix and match vs M on the chocolates should work and there are technical reasons again why it stands a much better chance (which are again too complicated) - unless they have N/A for a product due to the different BCs in A but, for the above reason, that might not be the case. However you do need to be extremely careful over the versions and, if you are buying Freddo 18g, you do need to buy the right version of it, the version that appears on the comp., in order to get any mix and match. You may also be able to buy, on the same shop, the other version of Freddo 18g if you are using that as an invisible item whether or not it is a trigger if it is also on the 5 for £1 mbuy in A or whether it is an item that gets 5 for £1 and £2 GC via CS even though it is not on the mbuy, due to the SELs saying 5 for £1 across all you buy and having an overcharge situation.

Freddo Caramel won't work or compare against M as either it (if there is one of version of it) or all versions of it (if there is more than one) are no-shows on the APG. Cadbury Buttons 14.4g - again one or possibly more (likely two) versions - won't appear as it is showing Unavailable on a.com - I think it is wrong to say "it" though, I think instead it should be "won't appear as one of the versions of it is showing Unavailable on a.com and the other version - I think there are likely to be two in total - is not on the website (and probably that version also gives an overcharge instore)". The version on a.com is a trigger and the other version, which isn't on the website but is probably the version at full price instore, which isn't on the mbuy, acts like a trigger if we get 5 for £1 reset and possibly £2 GC at CS instore.

The item that appears as Cadbury Fudge Chocolate Bar (25.5g) on the APG might not pick up the M mbuy even though M probably is 25.5g as the SELs in M have it as 25g. If there is another version of Cadbury Fudge Chocolate Bar (25.5g), that maybe is a different individual price, probably 30p, but which does not pick up the mbuy in A, but which could also act like a trigger through 5 for £1 via CS, it has no chance of picking up the M mbuy as it, if it exists at all, is another invisible item on the APG.

9 items (7 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda Tesco
    1x Cadbury Fudge Chocolate Bar (25.5g) £0.25 £0.26
0.13x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Onion (order by number of onions or select kg) (per kg) £0.10 £0.09
1x Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo Chocolate Bar (18g) £0.25 £0.26
    1x ASDA Baker's Selection Hot Cross Buns (6pk) £0.65 N/A
    1x Cadbury Curly Wurly Bar (26g) £0.35 £0.30
    1x Kerrygold Salted Butter (250g) £1.85 £1.90
3x Vaseline Original Selection Lip Tin (each) £15.00 £7.50
    1x Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Bar (18g) £0.25 £0.26
Comparison total (compared products only) £18.05 £10.57
    +£7.48 cheaper
For your information: Apg £8.54 from a shop this morning.

Can you please post the comp. vs M so we can see whether 4 for £1 is picked up on all those chocolates? Not sure that this would have picked up the M mbuy - I have Cadbury Fudge Chocolate Bar at 25g in M rather than 25.5g:rotfl:. (If it is M full price throughout with :(N/A on Fudge (or that version of it that appears:rotfl: - I have no proof that such an item exists however), this doesn't mean that the M mbuy would fail completely - it is picked up on Curly Wurly alone and might be picked up if a total of four among the other three chocolates that are on this comp. are bought. Folks, I am being very careful over my wording near the end of the last sentence - as if I am not careful with my wording the vast majority of the time:rotfl: - note they need to be the versions of the chocolates that appear on this comp. and you don't want to be buying Cadbury Freddo Chocolate Bar (18g) instead of Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo Chocolate Bar (18g), which may look much the same to most people instore, unless you are using Cadbury Freddo Chocolate Bar (18g) as an invisible item. As referred to above, there are different BCs and two different Freddos, plus potentially two Caramel Freddos as well neither of which appear.)
