Finally I have news:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Have to share with my elite friends:A:A
My son is about to start pilot training with Easyjet!!
Off to New Zealand for 12 months:( in january!!)
So very proud of him.
So anyone have URGENT tips as you are all more travelled than I am.....best way to get money to him - I have to support him for living expenses etc
Hints on mobile data?
Hints on clothing (when he is not in pilot uniform!)
Any hints at all very welcome:D:D
thanks in advance
Confused.....sorry is your son going to NZ for a year before he starts trying with easyjet or is he going to NZ to do his classroom part?
My dd is the one who rearranges their training every time the simulator breaks down. She has been with EJ for 10 years now first flying then in training delivery.
Good company.
Congrats on your ds working so very hard to start his pilots training.

- A refund on a coat I'd sent back for an exchange. I now need to buy a new winter coat and come home to a 25% off matalan voucher. I don't like any of the coats in matalan :rotfl:
- managing to get the nail polish and gift set from boots
- using my co-op loyalty card to get a "free" litre of vodka
- deciding to go on a xmas night out tomorrow with the aim of not spending any more than £15 for the whole night - including drinks :rotfl:
I've just ordered a black trespass parka from Argos. £19.99. looks quite nice. Hth xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Yes we had a lovely break - a ship we have not been on before so it was similar but different, the food was very good quality, tried several things I would not normally eat - a lot of ice cream and cake as well
Coming back to this weather is a shock
Plus having to get my head into Christmas preparation mode yet again ...
Looking to go on our first cruise next year Mhoc. Sounds amazing! :beer:0 -

Depending where in NZ d's is going to be it can be very wet. Mostly jeans, t shirt , hood weather but I did experience Napier which was scorching so milder winters than us but wetter.
Phone get a local simple and use Facebook video calling or whatever is his preferred app using free wifi which I sure he can hunt down but always available in Starbucks, burger king ect.
As for money not really sure but could use a money card like revolut which you can top up your end by bank card for free and he can then use as debit card but limited cash withdrawals per month but can be a free way of doing things with no exchange rates ect.

Thanks DM, it's a rear wheel drive and my third of its type so have had winter tyres in the past , they are fine on the road but our drive has quite an incline and that where it all goes to pot, both kids have Quattros and they go up without a falter
, dh says he's putting tyres on it tomorrow, so will leave him to it.

There is a strange booze shop that people keep saying they have got free cider from on COS (or cs), is it bargain booze per chance?? If so, there is a 'select convienience by bargain booze', can I get the stuff from there please? TIA“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
