    Today...A v M ...All worked as hoped

    Chomp trigger for sweeties
    L & B for beans
    3 large glade candles 3 4 2 ....£1:60 each
    Pepsi.....Thanks to Spud01....

16 items (10 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda Morrisons
    1x Cadbury Fudge Chocolate Bar (25.5g) £0.25 £0.25
1x Glade Luscious Cherry & Peony Large Scented Candle Air Freshener (each) £6.00 £4.00
0.13x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (per kg) £0.10 £0.09
1x Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo Chocolate Bar (18g) £0.25 £0.25
    2x Cadbury Curly Wurly Bar (26g) £0.70 £0.50
1x Glade Clean Linen Large Scented Candle Air Freshener (each) £6.00 £4.00
    4x Heinz Five Beanz (415g) £3.80 £2.40
    3x Pepsi Diet Cans (8x330) £7.50 £3.75
0.11x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (per kg) £0.08 £0.08
1x Glade Vanilla, Cream & Sugar Large Scented Candle Air Freshener (each) £6.00 £4.00
Comparison total (compared products only) £30.68 £19.32
    +£11.36 cheaper
    For your information:

Heinz Five Beanz, even though the individual A price is cheaper, are better than the £1.07 vs 75p products (or 4 for £3 products) due to the difference being more.

The other Heinz at 75p individual A are not very good at all though. The Five Beanz could be mixed (total of four across the mix) with comparing Batchelor's Cup Soups/Slim a Soups in the same shop vs M although the Batchelor's aren't quite as good.

Personally I'm not going for change from 20p to 25p vs 25p price match (=2.5p each) on those other chocolates in the offer, so they will be staying off the M list. They are available and comparing as seen, but personally I am sticking to Curly Wurly there. As for the sweets*, there may be better mixes on some of those against M and I am due to say something about those soon (as in might take me an hour or two more as I am doing other things as well at the moment).

    *(as distinct from "chocolates")

Probably some way round this like copying numbers form sim to old phone then putting new sim in old phone and copying to sim - or if old phone was android just copying them to your google account.
    I think....

The Burton's Fish n chips 6 in a pack are on offer in Heron 2 for £1.

Thank you:T - I don't always know the prices everywhere else (in fact, I doubt I ever know them literally everywhere else but I mean some other places), particularly away from the major supermarkets that I don't go into very often. I could well save a lot of money sometimes by staying away from the majors.

I think this works out the same price as the ones in A - 50p each vs S - so it's either/or. Or Heron if you don't want the Ketchup crisps. Or have to buy at least six more different items at A. However... as the Mullers (right number, right mix) are effectively 29p discount there, two Fish 'n' Chips and the Tomato Ketchup crisps work out, individually, cheaper price than Heron when 10 Mullers of the right type are added to the shop...:rotfl: It gets more complex/surreal!

For anyone that wants or is interested in the detail:
Fish 'n' Chips, Tomato crisps and correct type and number of Mullers are 3 for £1.50 less 29p, equals forty and a third pence each. This as opposed to 50p Heron (having to buy two) - however you are also having to buy the Ketchup crisps at A that Heron don't require for their offer. The Fish 'n' Chips, only having to buy one pack whilst Heron would require two, could be even cheaper in A if a Sunbites pack is preferred and not needing a second Fish 'n' Chips. So, if you want just one multipack of Fish 'n' Chips, don't want the two that Heron currently require you to buy to get 50p each but want Sunbites and Ketchup crisps that maybe (I don't know) aren't on Heron's offer or maybe aren't available in Heron, the individual price for the Burton Fish 'n' Chips would equate to somewhat less than 50p in A. You could still get two Burton Fish 'n' Chips, if you wanted another Sunbites and a further Ketchup crisps, for much less than Heron's mbuy cost in A, especially if you add right 10 Mullers to a second shop in A again. And, of course, if you pay with A wombles, you don't need the real cash you'd need for Heron, regardless of how the A price works out.

1 Fish 'n' Chips, 1 Sunbites and 1 Tomato Ketchup crisps, less the Muller discount, are 3 for £1.07 in A. Making the Fish 'n' Chips nearly 36p for the multipack. However, if you want to get the 2 Fish 'n' Chips, which could be got for 50p each in effect in Heron, you would be needing to buy 6 items (in effect as an mbuy price of 3 for £1.07 in A with Mullers whether needed or not as they pay to take away) rather than a 2 for... mbuy. But if you just want 1 pack of Fish 'n' Chips, then you can in effect have a 3 for £1.07 mbuy (after APG, obviously as long as your prefrence is Ketchup crisps and a comparing Sunbites against S), whereas Heron would be full price for the one pack of Fish 'n' Chips.

A would remain in effect the same cheaper price for what is effectively mbuy purchasing if two Fish 'n' Chips (and the Ketchup) were bought on one shop (with right Mullers!) and two Sunbites (Ketchup and right Mullers) were bought on the other. It is only because the Sunbites are being bought, in effect part of a 6 for... mbuy, split across two shops, that the individual effective price for the Fish 'n' Chips (as part of the six items in total obtained) is then brought down. Without the Sunbites, and sticking to Fish 'n' Chips, in effect it still remains cheaper per multipack than 50p equivalent each Heron - however you are being required to pay for the Ketchup crisps and it's a 3 for... mbuy in A rather than Heron's 2 for... - as long as you buy the right Mullers on the shop (and of course then qualify for APG - if you just bought 2 Fish 'n' Chips and Ketchup crisps and nowt at all else:huh: in A, that's 3 for £3!:rotfl::rotfl:). Indeed, putting those Mullers back onto your shop again, A could be even better - because you are also ending up owning the Mullers as well. In my calculations, I have given no value whatsoever to the Mullers - however they do have value in their own right and are 'worth' something - 68p or 70p each if you go by the charge supermarkets make for individual purchases at full price:rotfl: - so that makes your other items even cheaper (if for example you were then to sell your Mullers on and charge someone for them).

    Sometimes my brilliance hurts.
Just been out to buy and put up a christmas tree for an elderly relative. They cant really kneel to get water into the tree holder, and its a decent sized tree, so will drink about a litre a day.....So got some of my home brew tubing, put a funnel on one end, cable ties the tube down the trunk and into the water reservoir. It can now be watered at shoulder height. Why have I never done it like this before, make so much sense, and since it is round the back, you cant see it.
