How are your Christmas preparations going?

I need to get my act together.

I’m going through all my cupboards at the weekend to start a list of all the bits I need:)

Thanks TM.....All going well.....Xmas cards written...I have all my pressies and wrapped....Xmas cake made...Just needs marzipan and icing....made 4 Xmas puds....Stuffing balls made and in the freezer....Most of the food shopping is done except for fresh and that which does not keep too long....So I'm pretty good...On top of it all...No stress for me.....

Lastly the Xmas decorations will go up over the weekend...I cannot wait any longer...:rotfl::rotfl:

Evening all! We had the first night of our city's Christmas fair tonight, chilly but dry weather gave me the perfect justification for a warming hot dog and chocolate orange crepe, yum! :D

I'll be dropping off my reverse advent calendar items to the local food bank tomorrow, and it's made me think that I'd also like to get some gifts for the local children's charities that do collections. If anyone knows of any good places where I could buy some smallish gifts for just a few pounds, please let me know. I don't have children and my niece and nephew only like specific things so I'm really clueless about what would be good to buy.

    Poundworld/Poundland; Home Bargains?

eg Home Bargains do a cute little craft kit, sew your own animal, assorted designs, pre-punched holes for the 'sewing', includes everything you need, age 3+ but I got these for our 7/8/9 year olds, nice bit of fun for a winter afternoon. These are 59p. :)

Thank you, just noticed that there's only 3 chocolate on there. I know 1 was a chomp which I just read is a trigger but I can't remember what else I had with it.

    £9.98 apg

That's unusual! We weren't the cheapest this time
We want you to be 10% better off at Asda, so there's a voucher for you below.
Based on comparable items... Tesco Sainsbury's Morrisons Waitrose
The cost of your shop at Asda was: £19.25 £18.92 £1.25 £0.32
The competitor cost would have been: £10.30 £12.95 £1.37 £0.34
    To be 10% cheaper Asda needed to be: £9.27 £11.65 £1.23 £0.30
Compared to the 10% cheaper price
    £9.98 more
    £7.27 more £0.02 more £0.02 more
    Asda was...

Wilko do similar. I tend to have a set in my bag for emergency moments with kids.
