  • Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay only for one night anywhere between Lancashire and Stratford upon avon?
Does anyone know what Stafford is like? Is it worth a visit?

    Premier inn at Trentham Gardens?
Log cabin retail village, couple of onsite restaurants, beautiful grounds with lake, boat or miniature train ride, if the train is still there that Is!
Just off M6 , worth a Google. Trentham Estate.

Don't think I would stay in Stafford but I'm sure mhoc will be along with more suggestions.

    Good morning all

Another miserable wet and windy day here DH is unlikely to be working this week but I will get my garage and loft a bit tidier

GD had grommets fitted and her adenoids out yesterday We will be off to see her later

Thanks to Enterprise for advice re The Range and delayed refund It has been refunded but only after a few post by DS on Facebook The company itself have still to respond but at least I can now look for replacement items

We had out bedroom units fitted yesterday and I love them Not cheap though No fancy interiors but just what I wanted I am :T:j:T

Enjoy whatever you do and stay safe if you have weather like ours

We only went for the day a few years ago when staying in B'ham We enjoyed it but it was a lovely day
  • Good morning all, lovely sunny day here, sitting here in a ray of sun (the sun really shine on the righteous :D)

Nothing for me again. I keep getting mine the other way round. Booking.com was first. I wonder if that is a clue to if you win or not

Nope, mine were the "normal" way round and I won nothing. Well, two PDEs but that is irrelevant as I will not be upgrading.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Thank you curl girl it looks lovely there I'll have a good look later. I just picked Stafford out off the map, my sister stayed in Birmingham but I'm not sure Cadbury world would be very good for my diet :rotfl:

The shops have recently expanded, Premier inn, Frankie and Benny, as well as other restaurants.
The grounds are fab for walking but there is a charge, however lots of the shops have leaflets with 241 coupons inside so never pay full admission.
