The penguins had flown  actually do they fly? :rotfl:

Sneaking suspicion with the empty carton these were scanning 50p yesterday. I snoozed and losed, even though I said it would be corrected quickly. Didn't bother going elsewhere...

I shifted myself first thing this morning TS, in my local SEL for Penguins 50p, not a one in sight.

I have since read on Extreme they are £2 today.

The large gold tins of Quality Street scanned at £6 although the SEL in my local was £5. Even after Dtd they would cost £4 in real money, probably being very :money: I didnt think they were worth it. Will wait until they are £1.25 again somewhere next year.

And the elusive toilet rolls that were £3 in Irlam extra, are still elusive. No sight/SEL for them in three stores

I wish I had gone out for the Penguins last night though

Just a reminder about the food sharing app Olio which helps with food waste - if you have excess garden or allotment produce to spare or you are fridge empting after a big weekend or cupboard tidying before you go away, don't bin things, put them on Olio instead.
When you list things on the Olio app it also gives you the option to also share on facebook and your other places.
I've just been cupboard tiding this morning and a very lovely lady has taken my excess tins and jars - its a good way of making connections as well

This lady has a very difficult home life. Her husband has dementia - awake all night and asleep all day. She had a meeting with the social worker yesterday - there is a new dementias care home opening locally which she has high hopes for.
She works out in the garden and does a lot of cooking as stress relief but she gets no respite care - they only time she goes out is to nip to the post office, doctors or do a bit of shopping... very sad situation.

I think by the time we were talking about it the shelves were probably already empty. Kicking myself I didn't remember when I was out buying the beer. :o

I had seen it on HUKD earlier in the day and posted it on here so hope someone was lucky to find them, the picture on HUKD someone posted they did look cute with their bow ties. :D

Some person of questionable birth has hacked and used my avios account.:mad:

I am going to get them re-credited (after 93 minutes on the phone but it will take time.
Oh dear that's bad! at least they're giving them back.
I wish I could get rid of my Avios, I have over 150k in points (from a Tesco swap years ago), and never used them. Never go abroad and other deals seem cwappy :undecided

So finding no penguins I consoled myself by buying more beer and cider. :rotfl:

And I got the last case of these...

    https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/wychwood-beers-of-character-6x500ml-for-468-tesco-superstore-sunbury-on-thames-3040405

Zippy the bud light wasn't reduced at the store I went to today so some reductions must differ between stores. No sign of the 15 normal buds I got reduced yesterday. Both were extras too and most things I have found the same like reports on HUKD so bit odd.

So in theory you can have one free granola using your shopimum app and email address and your OH could have another with his sopimum app and email - better than nothing.

I've been eating a pack I found in the cupboard and adding dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds ( both from Home Bargains)

    Having a quiet seethe here.

We had letters regarding next weeks blood donation session which has had to be cancelled - its the venues fault. So I rang to rebook and the next best appointments are not until October 25th

Then I put reminder messages on NextDoor and the local facebook pages - it would be very easy for peopel to think they were just got reminder appointment letters and to just shove them into your bag unopened and ready for next week.

Then I had another look at the appointments page online and there are only 7 spaces left

Other than that the next blood donation sessions for both the local towns is not until next year

I am just wondering now if Birmingham city center still have walk in appointments - have to find a number. At least then I could go and cancel my October appointment so someone else can make use of it ...
